Whether working for the world’s leading brands, or making their mark as freelancers, members of The Industry are often key decision makers in their respective businesses. With this in mind, there’s little wonder that they’re constantly hit up to sit on judging panels.
The most recent company to rally up their shrewd opinion is Shopcade, the world’s largest social shopping app. You might recognise the name – the app, founded by Industry member, Nathalie Gaveau became the talk of London Fashion Week after it parked an unmistakable double decker party bus directly outside Somerset House.
Working with the likes of Topshop, ASOS and Urban Outfitters, Shopcade is known as the most trend-conscious social shopping app on the market – and to celebrate, Nathalie has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged her users to show off their most fashionable looks. As the platform is powered by blogger and celebrity trends, Shopcade has formed a panel of fashion experts from each corner of the industry to judge the finalists and naturally, a cluster of members are on the list.
The Industry’s celebrity stylist (and advisor) Rebekah Roy, fashion photographer (also our official photographer) Sam Atkinson and brand strategist, Nik Thakkar will sit on the panel with Nathalie. All of whom are in good company alongside DJ, model and TV presenter Vogue Williams, super blogger Ella Catliff of La Petite Anglaise, hairdresser to the stars Lee Stafford, creative director of world-famous makeup team, Jana Ririnui of AOFM Pro, Ada + Nik’s creative director, Ada Zanditon and Ashley-Gianna Hallett of Elite Model Management.
The judges will be putting their heads together at Sanderson once a month to pick the winners. Forward PR, founded by The Industry’s managing director, Courtney Blackman is Shopcade’s on-going PR representative.
