Industry member, Stephanie Tumba is the proud owner of leading international lifestyle consultancy business, Celest Lifestyle. In this exclusive interview we talk about catwalk, editorial shoots and dressing Lady Gaga – as well as why she joined The Industry and how she’d like to collaborate with members.
Tell us a little bit more about your styling business?
I mainly work as an art director and fashion stylist and my enthusiasm has placed me at the forefront of many different projects including catwalk, editorials, music videos, commercials, stage performances and television. My mission is to create beautiful, modern images that have a chic and edgy tone to them.
I also work with private clients, for those who are seeking counsel on appearance, behaviour, etiquette, fashion styling, international protocol and overall profile enhancement. I also provide services such as international shopping (which means I shop for a client or with the client all around the world), personal shopping and wardrobe consultation, to name a few.
What’s been your biggest career highlight to date?
I am very proud to have been able to learn from the best and work for and with big companies such as L’Oreal, Givenchy and Warner Bros. More exciting challenges are ahead of me as I need now to stand on my own two feet to succeed internationally as a freelance art director and stylist.
If you could choose anyone, who would your dream client be?
My dream client would be Lady Gaga. I would love to style her for one of her videos. I like her edginess and her complexity – it’s what she’s all about. It would be one of the greatest challenges of my life. I wouldn’t say no to Madonna or Katy Perry though!
In what capacity are you looking forward to working with other members?
It would be great to collaborate on shoots. And I would also like to work with designers and retail brands on their look books and windows.
