Designer multi-brand boutique Flannels is among a host of premium brands to open new stores at Yorkshire's leading shopping destination Meadowhall in Sheffield.

Flannels, which sells a range of designers brands including Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss, Stone Island and Belstaff, will open a 10,000 sq ft store this month, located on Meadowhall's Park Lane mall. The store will be opposite another new addition to the centre, organic natural health and beauty retailer Neal's Yard which is opening a 700 sq ft store this summer.

"Meadowhall’s affluent and loyal customer base with a desire for designer brands, made it the perfect choice when selecting the location for our debut store in the region. We look forward to opening our new store within Meadowhall’s prestigious Park Lane and joining this thriving retail community," said Flannels marketing manager Jenna Triscott.

Flannels has 12 stores around the country in locations such as Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff and Leeds, and is a planning a raft of openings this year. As well as the Meadowhall store it is planning to open in Jersey, Doncaster, Middlesbrough and on London's Oxford Street.

Further new signings at Meadowhall include Godiva, Nespresso and Tag Heuer which is set to open a 1,820 sq ft store, its largest in the UK. In addition a number of major retailers are undergoing refurbishments including House of Fraser, AllSaints, Hollister and Hugo Boss.

"Our strategy is to ensure Meadowhall’s offer reflects consumers’ changing modern lifestyles. Attracting these premium brands to the line-up achieves this objective and is a great endorsement of the enhanced environment we and our occupiers are creating at the centre," said Richard Crowther asset manager at Meadowhall's co-owner British Land.
