Maya Jama and Mahalia are the new faces of Levi's AW21 collection

Levi's has selected acclaimed TV presenter Maya Jama and British singer-songwriter Mahalia as the faces of its Autumn/Winter 2021 campaign.

One of the most recognisable denim brand in the world, Levi's latest campaign calls for everyone to rally together to "Buy Better, Wear Longer", to raise awareness over the shared responsibility on the environmental impacts of apparel production and consumption.

Shot by London-based Photographer and Director Lou Jasmine, the campaign film finds both stars reflecting on their own personal style through the ages and denim nostalgia. The pair reminisce about their first pair of Levi’s jeans and discuss their approach to buying quality products that are timeless in style and durable.

Levi’s Autumn/Winter 2021 collection includes vests, dress up-dress down tops and sweatshirts as well as its iconic denim jackets and outerwear to celebrate individuality and offering buildable style for a forever wardrobe.

With two MOBO Awards under her belt, as well as BRIT and Grammy award nominations, Mahalia has recently been listed as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 European Entertainment in 2021. She is known for chart hits such as ‘I Wish I Missed My Ex’, ‘Sober’, and Roadside (feat. AJ Tracey) and “Simmer” (feat. Burna Boy) which has become her highest charting single.

The award-winning singer said: "My favourite thing about Levi’s jeans is that they are made for all shapes, sizes and ages. When I was a teenager, I loved being able to go to a shop with my friends and all of us grab a pair of Levi’s jeans that hug all the right places and make you feel confident in yourself. My mum used to say, buy cheap, buy twice."

The self-confessed '90s baby' said in a statement: "My mum had me in the double denim from an early age. She had me in the denim dress with the denim hat, or a skirt and Trucker Jacket - undefeated ’90s fashion. We’ve gone through so many denim trends over the last 15 years, from flares, to mom jeans, to baggy fits, and the staple 501, and now we’re seeing some of those come back with the likes of the new 70s High. It’s this constant resurgence of our favourite looks over the ages that keeps me coming back to Levi’s - iconic, inclusive fits that never go out of style."

The full collection worn by Mahalia and Maya Jama will be available for purchased online and in-store.
