Marks & Spencer becomes ‘exclusive digital wholesale partner’ for David Gandy Wellwear

Marks & Spencer has today launched David Gandy Wellwear on its ‘Brands at M&S’ platform, becoming its exclusive digital wholesale partner as M&S’s third-party menswear offer continues to grow.

David Gandy Wellwear was founded by supermodel David Gandy in 2021, who also happens to be the new face of M&S-owned menswear brand Jaeger - reigniting his previous long-term modelling work with the retail giant.

The launch marks an exciting new chapter of growth and expansion for David Gandy Wellwear, with an offer now available that includes the brand’s best-selling T-shirts, pyjamas, underwear, loungewear and robes - all modelled by Gandy himself, of course.

Stephanie Macleod, Head of Brand Partnerships at M&S, said: “David Gandy Wellwear is a standout addition to the Brands at M&S platform - a label built on elevated essentials and a unique focus on wellbeing that will really resonate with our customers.

“And with David also joining us as the new face of Jaeger, the launch of his brand marks an exciting step forward in our ambition to make M&S the leading destination for modern, quality menswear.”

David Gandy, who is also the Creative Director of his eponymous brand, added: “From day one of launch I envisioned M&S as David Gandy Wellwear’s key wholesale partner, so this is a big milestone for the brand and a full circle moment for me given my formative history and recent return to M&S.

“I love what M&S have been doing recently, and I have experienced first-hand the power and impact that M&S has with its loyal, nationwide customer base. I’m excited that we’re joining its third-party platform to bring David Gandy Wellwear to a much wider audience.

“We have just recorded three consecutive record-breaking months of sales which is extraordinary in the current retail climate, and I am confident that this new partnership with M&S will accelerate further growth.”

David Gandy Wellwear blends considered design with wellbeing via innovative fabric technology, utilising the softest natural fibres that are enhanced with technical treatments, including anti-odour, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties.

As well as offering a wide range of the brand’s core products, including its super-soft cotton-modal T-shirts in considered fits, M&S is also now selling Gandy’s new take on the piqué polo shirt.

The addition of David Gandy Wellwear to Brands at M&S comes as the retailer continues to up its game in menswear, with its Autograph brand quadrupling in value over the past three years and now accounting for nearly a quarter of M&S menswear sales. Read all about that and much more in our recent interview with Marks & Spencer Menswear Director, Mitch Hughes.
