Lauretta Roberts
03 January 2020

Marks & Spencer has announced the appointment of David Surdeau as interim CFO replacing Humphrey Singer who announced his departure in September.

Surdeau has previously spent more than 16 years with Tesco where he held senior roles across the globe, and was latterly group planning, treasury and tax director.

He joins the company on 7 January to replace Singer, who had only been in post since July 2018. Singer stood down when M&S dropped out of the FTSE100 for the first time in September; he had previously been Dixons Carphone.
