TV and celebrity fashion stylist Mark Heyes, best known for his styling tips on ITV’s breakfast show ‘Lorraine’, will be hosting the Fashion and Beauty Festival at Gateshead’s Metrocentre, taking place on the weekend of 1-2 April 2023.

Heyes will be on the main stage located in the shopping centre’s Town Square, and he will provide attendees with valuable insight and inspiration “by taking a deep dive into his must-have fashion pieces for the SS23 season”, all available at stores in the centre.

Metrocentre Marketing Manager, Helen Atkinson, said: “This year's SS23 event is not to be missed by anyone with a passion for fashion and beauty, or those who want to learn something new. We are delighted to be joined by the very talented Mark Heyes who will be providing insight into the latest trends and how to style them.

“We’re also thrilled to be able to showcase some of our newest retailers including Hobbs, Vanilla, Jo Malone and a raft of beauty brands available exclusively within Harrods Beauty including Le Labo, Monday Muse and Sunday Riley.”

The fashion runway shows will showcase various styles to cater for a wide audience, as well as see the return of the much-loved street dance showcase.

Visitors can also explore the Beauty Garden, where the Metrocentre’s beauty retailers will be offering complimentary beauty treatments, expert advice, masterclasses and freebies.

Selfie opportunities will also available at the Beauty Wall, where fashionistas and beauty fans can pose for a picture and take home a personalised print out.

Now not just a stylist, but based on many years of styling TV celebrities and viewers alike, Heyes designed his first own womenswear collection in collaboration with Freemans for SS22, called ‘Love, Mark Heyes’, which launched in April 2022.

Listen to TheIndustry.fashion's recent podcast with Mark Heyes. Heyes discusses his extensive styling career, his work with Freemans and how he helps "make women feel confident".
