Manolo Blahnik accelerates China expansion with first Beijing boutique
Manolo Blahnik has unveiled its first boutique in Beijing, marking a significant milestone in the luxury British footwear brand’s expansion across Mainland China.
The new store opens at Beijing Shin Kong Place (SKP), one of the country’s most prestigious luxury shopping destinations, and represents Manolo Blahnik’s second boutique in Mainland China following the debut of its Shanghai location in November 2024.
The Beijing opening is the brand’s first in Northern China and its 21st store globally, underlining its continued commitment to the Chinese market.
Founded in 1970 after a pivotal meeting between Manolo Blahnik and then American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Diana Vreeland, the brand has built a global reputation for craftsmanship, artistry and timeless design. More than five decades on, Blahnik remains deeply involved in the creative process, personally shaping lasts and heels.
CEO Kristina Blahnik worked in collaboration with Shanghai-based spatial design specialists BYB Vision to bring the SKP boutique to life. Inspired by the brand’s London Burlington Arcade boutique, the space reflects Manolo Blahnik’s signature "living room" concept.
Kristina Blahnik said: "We are delighted to open our first boutique in Beijing at SKP, an exceptional destination for luxury. This opening represents an exciting step in our continued growth in Mainland China and brings the Manolo Blahnik world to a new audience in Beijing."
To mark the launch, the Beijing SKP boutique will debut an exclusive baby pink iteration of Manolo Blahnik’s iconic Nadira style. The satin pump, finished with leaf-inspired crystal embellishment, is one of the designer’s most sought-after silhouettes and will be available exclusively at the location.
The Beijing SKP boutique officially opens today.
