Mango ups its game with premium 'Selection'
Mango has unveiled its ‘Selection’ collection, otherwise known as its most premium offering, bringing premium quality to the British high street.
Selection comprises of the ‘high quality’ womenswear mango has to offer. This season, it plays with the “unique balance between the structured and the fluid”.
Created in collaboration with Stylist and Creative Consultant, Malina Josep Gilchrist, the Selection Spring Summer 20205 collection embodies bold sophistication with juxtaposing feminine and masculine tailoring. Think fluid fabrics, seductive transparencies, structured suits and chunky leathers.
As for the colour palette, pieces are rendered in neutral tones with dashes of blush and camel as well as neutral-toned snakeskin. Selection prices range from £59.99 to £399.99.
This isn't the first time Mango has upped its quality and prices, fusing high street and high end. Last year, the retailer created a premium range with non other than Victoria Beckham. Shortly after, it launched a collection with Turkish brand Siedré, both of which targeted to a mid-range clientele.
The collection may be available in more stores than you might think. Earlier this week, Mango announced the opening of 20 new stores in the UK as part of its expansion and consolidation plans.
The new stores, which will open by the end of 2025, will be found across London, Central England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Cardiff.
Mango first opened its doors in the UK in 1999. In 2021, the business commenced its expansion plan, and by the end of 2024, it had more than 70 stores across the UK as well as its successful e-commerce platform.
