Mango has opened its new flagship store on London's iconic Oxford Street, located at 223-225 Oxford Street, next to London Underground's Oxford Circus Tube Station.

The store replaces a recently closed Gap store, with Mango transferring from its previous flagship store, located next door, to the new location. The new store offers a layout better suited to the brands new Mediterranean-inspired store concept.

Describing the new store, the company said that "the aim is to create a functional, relaxed and welcoming space that promotes and simplifies the interaction between the customer and store staff, as well as improving the distribution of collections and the store layout."

The new flagship store features a surface area of 1,400m squared, with three floors selling womenswear, menswear and kidswear.

It serves as the UK debut for the new mango store concept, featuring natural colours throughout, with sustainable and natural materials.

In addition, sustainability and energy-efficiency were key elements in the development of the new flagship, with energy-efficient lighting and temperature control systems to be implemented.

The Oxford Street store has an area dedicated for Mango advice services, where customers can discuss their preferences with staff and resolve any queries that may arise. The store also offers a dedicated area for click and collect services.

Earlier this year, the fashion giant revealed it closed 2020 with a turnover of €1.842 billion, and an EBITDA of €193m, with online income representing 42% of total turnover, after growing by 36% to reach €766m.
