Mango launches ‘Capsule’ occasionwear collection for summer events
Mango has today launched a new limited edition occasionwear collection called ‘Capsule’, with a focus on spring/summer formal events.
It features a selection of dresses, jumpsuits and two-piece suits using premium materials, including silk, taffeta, feathers and sequins.
Capsule is now available online and in selected stores, with prices ranging from £22 to £310, and there will be fresh twice-monthly deliveries between March and September 2023.
Accessories are also featured within the collection, including structured bags with precious stones, tassels and maxi flowers, as well as fine-strap sandals in neutral colours such as black, nude and silver, to complement every look.
Justicia Ruano, Creative Director of Mango Woman, said: “Mango is a brand that stands out for events and with Capsule we are going one step further with an exclusive product featuring exquisite materials.”
While the new collection concentrates on pieces in black, reds/pinks and pastel tones, white is also featured throughout the collection, a nod to new brides “who opt for simple, affordable and elegant designs for their special day” – with an increase in suitable garments planned for May, a popular wedding month.
Mango has selected new fabric suppliers and factories in Morocco and Portugal to guarantee the quality of the raw materials and finishes, and 3D design has been key to the creation of the collection.
The digital practice, now commonplace in Mango design processes, “has helped produce the collection in a quicker and more contemporary manner”, facilitating the process of visualising the colours and volumes, among other aspects of dressmaking.
Key garments in the collection include the tassel dresses and the ‘Guipure’ suit, both in shades of red.
The campaign launch of Capsule, which premieres today, features Dutch model-of-the-moment, Rianne Van Rompaey, shot by Drew Vickers.
