Mango brings its ‘New Med’ retail concept to Cardiff
Mango has opened a new 5,300 sq ft foot ‘New Med’ concept store at St David’s Dewi Sant Shopping Centre in Cardiff, marking its second location in Wales.
The new store is showcasing Mango’s latest womenswear collection of “timeless and versatile” staples as well as more contemporary pieces, including footwear and accessories.
The store interior is inspired by the brand’s Mediterranean heritage and culture, with natural textures, warm tones and sustainable materials that create a bright and welcoming shopping space.
Mango’s International Regional Director for the UK & Ireland, Fiona Cullen, said: “Our new Mango Woman store in Cardiff is a confident step forward for Mango, building on the strong progress we have made over the last year to broaden the appeal of Mango across the UK.
“Cardiff is the perfect new home to introduce our womenswear collection to more Welsh customers, in a store format that truly represents the Mediterranean soul of our brand.”
Mango opened its first store in Wales at Broughton Shopping Park in Bretton in May this year.
The Spanish retailer will also be opening a new 7,104 sq ft flagship store at Festival Place Shopping Centre in Basingstoke this autumn as part of its continued strategy to open 20 new stores in the UK in 2025.
The expansion plan builds on Mango’s strong performance. In July, Mango reported global turnover of €1.73 billion in the first half of 2025, up 12% year on year (14% at constant exchange rates). As well as well received collections, that growth was driven by new store openings.
