Mango has announced the promotion of Margarita Salvans as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer and member of the management committee.

Salvans, who has been part of the Mango since 2013, has held positions in various areas of the company, including stock management, store management and finance.

Before arriving in Mango, Salvans, who has a BA in Business  Administration from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, spent her career at Boston Consulting Group and at Caixa Cataluña.

Salvans will be the second woman to join the management committee, along with Elena Carasso, Director of the Ecommerce and Customer, as explained by the company in a statement.

Mango's CEO, Toni Ruiz, highlighted that the appointment of Salvans will allow the company wants to "enhance the internal talent that exists in Mango".

She will take over from Josep Barberá, who has decided to end his time at the company to undertake a new personal project.

In March, Mango executives appointed Toni Ruiz as Chief Executive Officer, promoting Ruiz from his previous position as General Manager of the brand, a position he held since October 2018.

Mango also confirmed it will manufacture 13,000 disposable polyethylene gowns for healthcare teams to help in the fight against COVID-19.
