Manchester's iconic Arndale has announced the signing of Kurt Geiger and Carvela to the city centre shopping destination.

Located close to Manchester Piccadilly Station, Manchester Arndale is home to over 200 stores including Zara, Next, Allsaints and H&M.

Kurt Geiger, which has been designing for more than 50 years and creates handbags and footwear for men and women, will be opening a 2,195 sq ft store.

The brand values itself on being inclusive, offering kindness and embracing creativity. It encourages people to be confident and "truly themselves", no matter where they are in the world.

Carvela will occupy a nearby 2,447 sq ft unit. It is a sister brand of Kurt Geiger and has a range of styles and accessories, including trainers, heels and ankle boots along with bags, phone cases and sunglasses.

Colin Flinn, non-executive director and spokesperson for Manchester Arndale, said: “We want to ensure Manchester Arndale remains an exciting and progressive place for all of our customers to visit. Introducing popular high-end retail brands such as Kurt Geiger and Carvela will help to strengthen its position as one of the ‘go-to’ shopping destinations in the northwest.

“Manchester Arndale is an iconic city centre destination which sits in the heart of the community. Over time, we have continued to widen our base of occupiers, bringing in a diverse set of retailers alongside leisure and lifestyle operators, supported by a wide-ranging food and beverage offer. We’re looking forward to sharing more exciting news about other new occupiers in the months to come.”

Manchester Arndale has also recently secured the renewal of leases from existing tenants including Apple, Deichmann, River Island and Sock Shop.

Earlier today, Kurt Geiger announced the launch of its Autumn/Winter 2021 campaign, created in collaboration with GUAP, a youth-led media platform showcasing emerging and underrepresented creatives.
