MAN and Fashion East have revealed their designer line-ups for the next edition of London Fashion Week Men’s which takes place in January. Both events will be staged in the same location, the Topman Showspace at the Old Selfridges Hotel.
MAN, which is Fashion East and Topman’s joint talent platform, will continue to support up and coming designers Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, Feng Chen Wang and Per Götesson in a group catwalk show.
The platform, which initially began life as a one-day add-on to the women’s edition of London Fashion Week, has a distinguished alumni including Kim Jones (now at Louis Vuitton), JW Anderson, Christopher Shannon, Agi & Sam and Craig Green to name just a few.
In addition to the showcase the designers, who are chosen by a panel of menswear experts, receive financial sponsorship, behind the scenes business mentoring and inclusion in a leading Paris sales showroom.
“Last season’s MAN show lived up to all expectations but I fully expect this season’s to out-do it,” said Topman creative director, Gordon Richardson. “Charles Jeffrey returns to the MAN line-up for third time and we are intrigued to see what Feng Chen Wang brings to the catwalk this season after such as impressive debut. Per Götesson also returns for a second time but this time around he is showing a full catwalk collection. Watch this space.”
Fashion East meanwhile will be showcasing James Buck and Luke Brooks’ ROTTINGDEAN BAZAAR for the second time following their debut in June and also welcomes newcomers ART SCHOOL, another creative duo, comprising Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt for their debut within the group showcase.
Fashion East is a non-profit initiative established in 2000 by Lulu Kennedy and The Old Truman Brewery to nurture, develop and showcase emerging designers.
London Fashion Week Men’s takes place from 6-10 January 2017 at The Store Studios, 180 Strand.
