Italian sportswear brand Macron is gearing to open a 2,200 sq ft store adjacent to Jack Wills and AllSaints at Gloucester Quays outlet shopping centre, ahead of the destination’s ‘Summer of Sport’ activation.

The brand has been the technical kit and retail partner for Gloucester Rugby since the start of the 2025/26 season, and the new store will stock the official kits for both the men’s and women’s rugby teams.

It will also strengthen the brand’s presence in Gloucester, following the launch of a Macron Sports Hub at Gloucester Business Park.

Ross Cook, Senior Technical Sports Marketing Manager of Macron, said: “Macron’s arrival at Gloucester Quays is a natural next step, building on our strong connection with the city’s sporting community and the destination’s commitment to offering leading sportswear apparel and lifestyle ranges.

“As a secondary official retail store of the iconic Gloucester Rugby and Gloucester Hartpury collections, this store will provide supporters and fans with an exciting new way to engage with both clubs. We’re also looking forward to connecting with even more fans through the upcoming Summer of Sport event and becoming an integral part of the vibrant sporting culture at Gloucester Quays.”

At Gloucester Quays, Macron will join a strong sports and activewear line-up including Puma, Asics and Adidas. Sports brands at Gloucester Quays have seen a 3% increase in sales year-on-year as they continue to thrive at the destination.

All the sports brands at Gloucester Quays will be supported through a series of activations and event initiatives in the coming weeks and months as part of the ‘Summer of Sport’ screenings at Pillar & Lucy Square, surrounded by Gloucester Quays’ bars and restaurants.

The screenings will include World Cup matches, Wimbledon tennis, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, The Masters and the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Last year, events there brought in over 5,000 viewers, driving engaged footfall throughout the summer months.

Paul Carter, Asset Director at Gloucester Quays landlord, Peel Retail & Leisure, commented: “The signing of Macron is reflective of Gloucester Quays’ appeal to activewear brands, and its Gloucester Rugby partnership showcases the importance of local sporting heritage to the destination and its operators.

“Macron arrives at an ideal time too, with the Summer of Sport activation set to bring in sports fans from across the city, driving engaged footfall and creating opportunities for our well aligned retail and leisure line up.
