Luxury childrenswear retailer Base has opened its revamped flagship store at Bluewater shopping centre.

The new store, which is over 7,000 square feet, offers a range of designer clothing for boys and girls aged 0-16 from luxury brands including Fendi, Palm Angels, Off White and Tartine Et Chocolat.

The store also introduces a line of lifestyle products, including a new line of designer pushchairs and prams, to combine fashion and functionality whilst complementing the child's outfits.

Speaking at the launch, Marc Granditer, Managing Director at Base, said: “We started with a singular vision of creating the best kids wear store in Europe, taking inspiration from luxury brands and retailers to create a best-in-class experience for our loyal customers.”

Along with the new store opening, Base has launched its annual Face Of Base modelling competition to give customers children an opportunity to become brand ambassadors and model for Base over a year. The retailer will recruit 12 models split equally across three age groups: baby (newborn to 12 months), junior (4 - 6 years), and youth (10 to 14 years).

Base Childrenswear currently has 6 stores in the UK. Being a London based business the majority of our stores are in the key shopping centres in the South East. We had an opportunity to open a store in Birmingham and used it as an opportunity to create more of a modern retail environment. Since the launch of our new website we have been able to service customers from all around the world using a similar luxury experience.
