Lululemon confirms launch in Spain

Lululemon has announced its plans to expand its international footprint, opening two new stores and an ecommerce site in Spain.

The brand's apparel and accessories for men and women will now be available to purchase from a dedicated ecommerce platform in Spanish for the first time.

In September, the company will also open its first Spanish retail locations in Madrid and Barcelona.

The announcement builds upon Lululemon’s growth strategy, which includes a quadrupling of the brand's international revenue from 2021 levels by the end of 2026. Market expansion is one of three key pillars in the brand's growth strategy, with Spain as the first new market in Europe since 2019.

Lululemon currently operates almost 40 stores and three local language sites across Europe including the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Lululemon also ships to additional countries across Europe through its EU website.

Last month, Lululemon released its financial results for the first quarter of 2022, revealing a 32% increase in revenue to £1.2 billion ($1.6 billion).
