Lululemon appoints Nike veteran as new CEO

Lululemon has appointed Nike veteran Heidi O’Neill as its new Chief Executive Officer, starting 8 September 2026. She will be based in Vancouver, Canada.

Meghan Frank and André Maestrini will continue to lead as interim co-CEOs until O'Neill joins, at which time they plan to resume their previous senior leadership roles.

O'Neill stepped down from her role as President of Consumer, Product & Brand at Nike in May 2025. During her 26-year career at the sportswear giant, she helped to grow the company from a $9+ billion (£6.7 billion) business to a $45+ billion (£33.4 billion) one, and was tasked with overseeing the company’s product pipeline, brand voice and operations, as well as shaping its connection with consumers and athletes.

According to Nike, O'Neill has a strong track record of driving disruptive change and growth at scale through product innovation, digital transformation and powerful brand connection.

Her more than three decades of experience also include serving on the boards of directors of consumer-facing companies including Spotify Technology, Hyatt Hotels and Lithia & Driveway.

Earlier in her career, O'Neill also worked in marketing for the Dockers brand at Levi Strauss & Co.

"Lululemon is an iconic brand with something rare: genuine guest love, a product ethos rooted in innovation, and a global platform still in the early stages of its potential," said O’Neill.

"As I step into the CEO role in September, my job will be to build on that foundation – to accelerate product breakthroughs, deepen the brand’s cultural relevance, and unlock growth in markets around the world.

"I am humbled by the opportunity and energized by what the team is already building."

Marti Morfitt, Executive Chair of Lululemon’s Board of Directors, added: "Heidi is an inspiring leader and proven, consumer-driven brand strategist, with a rare ability to both imagine a new future for a brand and to create the structure and processes to deliver on that vision."

"We selected Heidi because of the breadth of her experience, her demonstrated success delivering breakthrough ideas and initiatives at scale, and her ability to be a knowledgeable change and growth agent. We are excited to have Heidi join Lululemon and bring her strategic and creative vision to the company.

"We see significant potential ahead for Lululemon and we remain focused on driving momentum as we implement initiatives to increase product newness and enhance brand health and the guest experience, to create value for shareholders."

For its full year 2025, Lululemon reported a 5% increase to $11.1 billion (£8.3 billion) in revenue, driven by "strong" international demand even as momentum in the Americas has slowed.
