Lucy & Yak’s (Im) Perfect Yaks Sale event to return to London

Lucy & Yak is returning to Copeland Park in Peckham for another (Im) Perfect Yaks Sale event over four days from 6-9 March 2025, again offering an exclusive selection of "perfectly imperfect Yaks".

It will be the fifth time the brand has held an event selling off its products with minor issues or defects – though still "entirely wearable and loveable". Previous locations have been in Manchester, Edinburgh, Sheffield and the same Peckham warehouse space in London last year which proved a "huge success", with many of the brand’s community coming together to support it.

The idea is to reduce waste while offering "old favourites and irresistible bargains", and Lucy & Yak’s buyback scheme ‘PreLoved’ will also be available at the event. That encourages customers to return any Lucy & Yak product in exchange for a discount code of up to £20 to spend on anything in store or online.

Lucy & Yak will then resell, repair, or recycle the returned products, with the aim of creating items that "last a lifetime" while reducing waste and environmental impact.

Lucy Greenwood, co-founder of Lucy & Yak, told TheIndustry.fashion: "When me and Chris first launched Lucy & Yak in 2017 we realised that, if we wanted to be truly circular, we had a responsibility for the lifecycle of everything we created including the items that might not meet specific quality requirements.

"Often these types of products are discarded across the industry, but we wanted to find a way to make use of them to keep clothing on people and out of landfill. This is why we promote them as (Im)perfect Yaks - not 100% perfect but still 100% wearable."

Earlier this month, Lucy & Yak revealed it is relocating and upsizing its Cambridge store, moving from 36 Green Street to larger premises at 13 Sussex Street in the university city – opening on 14 March 2025.
