Lucy & Yak to continue retail roll out with new Cambridge store

Conscious clothing brand Lucy & Yak has announced it will be opening its fifth UK store on 15 April 2023, at 36 Green Street in Cambridge.

On the evening of 14 April, ahead of the opening day, Lucy & Yak will be hosting an open shopping night for its community, where local ‘Yakkers’ will have the chance to take a sneak peek at the new space as well as getting to browse all the fresh stock -  including the soon to be released updated rainbow range.

The new store will be a stone's throw away from both Cambridge Market Square and Christ’s College - a busy student hub surrounded by campuses, shops and restaurants.

The Cambridge store will also act as a Re:Yak hub, where customers will be able to trade in their old ‘Yaks’ in return for money off a new pair of dungarees, or have their items repaired or upcycled in store as part of the brand’s initiative to keep its clothes in circulation for longer.

Lucy Greenwood, Co-Founder of Lucy & Yak, said: “The Cambridge launch is another really exciting step for us. We love to have face-to-face time with our Yakkers and can’t wait to set up shop for our community in Cambridge. We have so many exciting launches coming up this year and are looking forward to opening in such a vibrant city.”

The Cambridge launch follows this month’s opening of Lucy & Yak’s Nottingham store, joining Norwich, which opened in November 2022, Bristol, which opened in September 2022, and Lucy & Yak’s home town of Brighton, where its first store opened in 2019.

There are more Lucy & Yak store openings planned in the UK later this year, with further locations as yet undisclosed.
