Spotlighting pre-loved fashion once again, Love Island has partnered with eBay for season 9 of the nation's popular dating show.

In order to continue driving consumers to sustainably shop pre-loved, eBay has announced its recoupling with the hit dating programme Love Island.

Last series, the online marketplace took over from fast fashion label ISawItFirst, becoming the show’s first-ever pre-loved fashion partner. Previous partners also included Oh Polly and PrettyLittleThing. This partnership alludes to the bigger picture of sustainability, inspiring viewers to shop consciously.

Kirsty Keoghan, Global GM of Fashion at eBay, said: “The partnership has already shown its impact with Islanders and our Pre-loved Ambassador Tasha Ghouri demonstrating their true style and flair with pre-loved looks. We’re very excited to continue this conversation and show the nation how good pre-loved really can look.”

Research from ITV revealed one in two (53%) viewers who are aware of the eBay partnership said they’d bought pre-loved in the past three months. Since its first partnership with the show, eBay UK has seen 1600% more searches for ‘pre-loved clothes’. With the newfound popularity, 24% more new circular fashion businesses joined the online marketplace.

eBay’s Pre-loved Fashion Stylist, Amy Bannerman will once again be sourcing fashion from eBay to style the on-screen stars. Bannerman, who has styled celebrities including Dua Lipa and Rita Ora, will not only be styling clothing this season but also a selection of pre-loved, authenticated sneakers and items from eBay's Imperfects range. Islanders will get to pick their fits from the curated shared wardrobe situated in the new villa.

Mike Spencer, Creative Director of Love Island at Lifted Entertainment, added: “We are thrilled to be pairing up with eBay again as our pre-loved fashion partner. We are excited to keep working with eBay and to keep highlighting more conscious ways of shopping on screen.”
