Louis Vuitton scores Jude Bellingham as new brand ambassador

Louis Vuitton continues to strengthen its connections with the sports world, announcing on Friday that 21-year-old England squad member Jude Bellingham has joined the brand as a new ambassador.

"Jude’s authenticity, ambition, and commitment on and off the field perfectly embody the spirit of Louis Vuitton’s community: champions in their fields and beyond," the brand stated.

Bellingham’s collaboration with the luxury label follows a standout debut season at Real Madrid, where he aided the team in securing three trophies, including the prestigious Champions League. His performance earned him the title of La Liga Player of the season, making him a strong contender for the upcoming Ballon d’Or.

Born in Stourbridge, Bellingham began his career at Birmingham City Football Club before moving to Borussia Dortmund, and later joining Real Madrid for a £87.7 million (€103 million) transfer fee. Bellingham also gained attention at the UEFA Euro 2024, where despite England’s narrow 2-1 loss to Spain in the final, he scored a memorable last-minute equaliser against Slovakia.

To commemorate his new role with Louis Vuitton, photographer Gabriel Moses captured Bellingham in his signature celebration pose, styled by Matthew Henson. The partnership isn’t Bellingham’s first interaction with the brand; he previously wore a Louis Vuitton double-breasted blazer at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, where he picked up the Kopa Trophy for the world’s best player under 21.

Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton’s creative director of menswear, welcomed Bellingham, stating, "I’m thrilled to have Jude on board. His charisma and incredible journey will be a great addition to our LVers community."

Bellingham was voted the most stylish player of Euro 2024 by readers of GQ magazine and has also appeared in campaigns for Skims men’s underwear and recently launched his first signature collection with Adidas Originals. Other ambassadors include tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, NBA player Victor Wembanyama, and Olympic medalists Léon Marchand and Antoine Dupont. Louis Vuitton, which was a primary sponsor of the Summer Olympics, has also featured iconic sports figures like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in its campaigns.
