London tailors Henry Herbert have introduced offering a Deliveroo-style tailor service, picking up any alterations required by scooter and delivering the newly fitted garments back to the door.

Closed to customers since the lockdown was announced, the tailoring company has been keeping busy over the last seven weeks producing much needed scrubs for NHS staff.

As restrictions are gradually being lifted, the traditionally trained team are resuming some services.

As well as offering a full bespoke suit making service, the tailors also offer full alterations on any garment, from taking in skirts to altering suits, covering all areas of London’s zone 1-6.

Launched this week, the tailors have received large amounts of interest from new and existing customers who may require clothing to be adjusted as some workers begin to head back into their offices.

Charlie Baker-Collingwood, Founder of Henry Herbert Tailors, said in a statement to TheIndustry.fashion: "Because of the effects of coronavirus we have adapted our usual ways of working in order to continue to deliver our trusted services. For the duration of lockdown our traditionally trained tailors have created hundreds of much needed NHS approved scrubs delivered to those working on the frontline.

"As restrictions are gradually lifted we are now able meet customer again whilst adhering to government guidelines. The scooter service is  quick, convenient and most importantly safe.”

The one-of-a-kind Savile Row by Scooter service brings all the tradition and craftsmanship of Savile Row direct to consumers. Henry Herbert has a long history as a bespoke tailor, offering bespoke tailoring to the highest standards of Savile Row.
