Jeremy Lim
20 February 2022

Starting with neutral tones that spin around a wheel of colour, Mark Fast's AW22 rendition of his signature street style is a tribute to the subgroups of culture that aim to reclaim the night.

This season embodies striking colours and shapes that are illuminated through couture dresses, large puffers and a mélange of experimental textures.

Mark Fast is expanding on the style of the purveyors of nightlife, showing bolder silhouettes and more volume while adhering to his signature body forming knit dresses. Oversized silhouettes dominate this collection, with large figures adorned in bold, dramatic viscose fringing contrasting the stone washed denims and piping’s of neon found throughout the collection.

The assemblage embodies the playful style of Fast’s recognisable yet experimental streetwear. The multi-layering across both Womenswear and Menswear means those adorned in Mark Fast are stylishly geared up for the harsh cruelties of winter it is those very sultry figures who expand the horizons of the night’s potential that are paid homage to this season.

The latest MF monogram, which was introduced last season, enhances the vibrancy of this collection, providing snapshots into the alluring calamity of underground forces. The styles projected from each garment expands on the allure of a revitalised party, with outerwear revealing the futurism of body forms splashed in neon and print.
