British shoemakers Loake has announced the opening of a new 1,380 sq ft flagship store at 83 Jermyn Street in the heart of London’s St James’s, adding to its smaller existing store at 39C in Prince’s Arcade, which connects Piccadilly to Jermyn Street.

It marks the sixth Loake opening since the start of the pandemic in 2020, taking the brand’s UK and Ireland store portfolio to 25.

The new larger Jermyn Street store is carrying over 120 styles, allowing the brand to showcase its full range of handcrafted shoes, boots, accessories and leather goods.

The new store also features a private shopping space for group wedding party fittings, where customers can enjoy a coffee while being fitted for their pair of Loake shoes for the occasion.

Loake Sales and Marketing Director, Richard Utting, said: “This is the first opportunity to present the full Loake range in the home of fine tailoring and formal menswear.

“Jermyn Street is recognised as the London hub for high quality formal menswear and shoes. Loake Shoemakers have enjoyed a retail presence in the street for over 10 years, but our new flagship allows us to showcase the full range of footwear and accessories.

“As the UK continues to recover from the crisis of the last few years, it is the perfect time to reflect the confidence that we feel in our brand and products. More and more customers are looking for high quality apparel in all aspects of their lives and Loake provides exactly that.

“The new store will appeal to both our existing customers who live and work in Central London as well as Loake devotees from around the world. Each day, new customers are discovering our brand and product ranges. Being able to view them in such a wonderful new setting is ideal.”
