Lingerie Française brings Parisian elegance to London for the first time
Eight of France’s most prestigious lingerie brands made their London runway debut this week, as Lingerie Française brought its celebrated showcase to the UK for the first time.
Hosted at the newly restored Ladbroke Hall on 14 July, the SS26 presentation marked a significant shift for the heritage association, which traditionally holds its shows in New York.
Timed to coincide with the Wonderland trade show, the multi-brand catwalk event gathered top buyers, press and influencers for an up-close look at the latest collections from Aubade, Chantelle, Chantelle X, Empreinte, Lise Charmel, Louisa Bracq, Maison Lejaby and Simone Pérèle. Together, these brands form the backbone of France’s corsetry industry - one that has defined the global standard since the bra was first patented in Paris in 1889.
Alain de Rodellec, President of Promincor - Lingerie Française, said: "The British market is now emerging as a true driver of growth for our businesses. Supported by a discerning clientele that appreciates elegance, quality, and craftsmanship, it provides Lingerie Française with a unique platform for expression."
Describing the UK as "a natural fit" for the brands, de Rodellec added: "They exemplify a French art de vivre, steeped in refinement, comfort, and timelessness - values increasingly appealing to British consumers. In a context of evolving demand, where customers are curious, well-informed, and attentive to brand identity, the United Kingdom stands out for its dynamism and openness, simultaneously embracing innovation and firmly rooted in tradition."
The SS26 collections showcased the latest in French lingerie design, blending technical innovation with traditional savoir-faire and a modern approach to femininity and inclusivity.
Rodellec concluded: "Being present in this strategic market - mature, creative, and trend-setting - enables our members to gain visibility, build targeted business connections, and strengthen their international position. Beyond the economic stakes, it is above all a true cultural exchange - a convergence of two visions of style: British distinction meets French elegance.
"London is an essential international showcase. Presenting our brands there allows us to affirm our collective ambition to proudly celebrate Lingerie Française in a city where elegance unites with a true spirit of innovation."
