LFW SS26: Roksanda celebrates 20 years with a sculptural homage to Barbara Hepworth
For spring/summer 2026, designer Roksanda Ilinčić marks a landmark moment - twenty years since her first on-schedule London Fashion Week show - with a deeply considered collection that bridges past, present, and future.
Drawing inspiration from the work of modernist sculptor Barbara Hepworth, the collection explored the intersection of art and fashion through a sculptural lens, echoing Hepworth’s fascination with form, space, and emotional resonance.
Presented within the refined grandeur of The Chancery Rosewood ballroom, this season stands not only as a celebration of Roksanda’s enduring creative vision but also as a tribute to women, artistry, and the power of design to move and transform.
Hepworth’s legacy was reflected throughout the collection in both spirit and execution - seen in silhouettes that embrace negative space, textures that beg to be touched, and colour stories that evoke an emotional response.
Also reimagining her most iconic designs while pushing forward with architectural tailoring, deconstructed volume, and painterly prints, Roksanda revealed a collection that is both bold and intimate, sculptural yet fluid - an ode to femininity in all its strength, complexity, and grace.

Garments were deconstructed using techniques such as slashing, folding, and reduction, echoing Hepworth’s cut-outs and her investigation of negative space. These artistic gestures translated into designs through silhouettes that embraced voids, curves, and tension, redefining the relationship between body and fabric.
Texture was also central to the collection’s visual language. Laser-cut bonded velvet, raw raffia, and fil coupé were manipulated into bold architectural forms, marrying the industrial with the organic. The tactile richness of these materials invited closer inspection, with delicate wirework detailing reminiscent of Hepworth’s sculptural motifs.
Tailoring and outerwear continued to evolve with architectural precision. Highlights included modular trench coats in mélange textured silk-wool, designed with removable collars and fluid back vents for versatility and movement. A standout cocoon coat in black zibeline featured an exaggerated collar that wraps protectively around the body, embodying both drama and comfort.
Prints this season were inspired by the river and nature surrounding The Hepworth Wakefield Gallery, which holds a significant collection of the artist’s work.
In addition, ethereal silk organza was printed and layered into voluminous dresses supported by crinoline understructures, while hand-painted brushstroke motifs appeared on flowing silk satin parachute dresses and utilitarian shirting.
Colour continued to be a vital part of Roksanda's design language. Unexpected pairings such as azure and cassis, cinnamon and venetian red reinforced the designer's commitment to colour as an emotive and expressive force.
Scent played a significant role in the show, thanks to a collaboration with independent fragrance label Stories. Partnering with Lookfantastic, Roksanda selected the brand’s No.2 parfum to accompany her spring/summer 2026 collection. "It complements the expressions of my spring/summer 2026 collection. With notes of natural surroundings and forestry, there is a connection to Barbara Hepworth, this season’s inspirations, and her dialogue with nature and organic form," the designer said.
In honour of the brand’s 20th anniversary, Roksanda also reimagined some of her most iconic silhouettes. The Margot dress from SS12 returned in vibrant orange and lapis blue bonded duchesse satin, while the Anya dress from SS16 and the Cataline dress from AW22 were revived in new painterly prints and updated colourways - paying tribute to the brand’s evolving design DNA.
By honouring her past while embracing new creative frontiers, Roksanda reaffirmed her place at the heart of modern womenswear. This spring/summer 2026 collection, rich in texture, emotion, and sculptural beauty, not only celebrated two decades of visionary design but also set the stage for a future shaped by artistry and fearless femininity.
