Levi’s unveils first ever collaboration collection with McLaren Racing
Ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday 7 July, Levi’s is launching a collaboration collection with McLaren Racing.
The Levi’s x McLaren Racing collection "represents the best of heritage and innovation", and includes a ‘Racing Jacket’, ‘Racing Suit’, ‘Racing Gloves’, a ‘Heritage Trucker’, ‘Heritage 501 Jeans’, a ‘Constructors Tee’, and a ‘Racing Bandana’.
Inspired by "the spirit of McLaren Racing’s vintage-era" (particularly the 80s), the cropped and boxy fit ‘Racking Jacket’ features a chain stitch embroidery logo on the back and twill taping at the cuffs and hem. Produced in a light wash, the jacket comes with a satin liner and an embossed vegetable tan leather co-branded patch.
Offered in the same light wash, the zip-front ‘Racing Suit’ has a slight drop crotch and a roomy fit with a straight leg. It features vintage inspired patches and a ‘McLaren Cars’ print down the right leg, along with the same co-branded patch.
The three tone ‘Racing Gloves’, inspired by vintage McLaren Racing posters, utilise colours from the classic McLaren colour palette and feature perforations for breathability. Made from Italian leather, with a Levi’s snap closure, the gloves display an embroidered signature of McLaren Racing founder, Bruce McLaren.
With vintage-inspired patches on the left and right chest, the cropped, boxy fit zip-front ‘Heritage Trucker’ jacket comes in a mid-wash denim with pintucks at the elbows. It also has red co-branded patches referencing 80s classic McLaren cars, as do the ‘Heritage 501 Jeans’.
The ‘Constructors Tee’ features a printed front graphic of an 80s era McLaren Racing car, and the ‘Racing Bandana’ reinterprets classic Levi’s western motifs "through a racing lens" - again with vintage McLaren graphics.
The collection launches worldwide on 3 July and will be available on the Levi’s website and APP, as well as in selected Levi’s stores.
