Levi’s gives Barbour a denim overhaul for limited-edition collaboration collection
Levi’s has teamed up with heritage British brand Barbour on a new limited-edition collaboration collection that fuses “two titans of functional design”.
Barbour’s signature wax cotton and Levi’s famous denim come together in what is described as "a celebration of utility and style".
For men, the Levi’s x Barbour ‘Bedale’ jacket appears in two distinct iterations: a dark navy desert wax version with a black cord collar, featuring front panels and modern tartan lining, and a denim workwear-inspired version with triple needle topstitching, antique brass metal trims and a resin rinse finish.
The women’s Levi’s x Barbour ‘Spey Wax Jacket’ reimagines Barbour’s classic silhouette in tobacco wax cotton with a brown cord collar, featuring pocket flaps shaped like Levi’s iconic arcuate, trucker-style cuffs and waistband, and a back cinch characteristic of Levi’s archival denim. With moleskin pocket lining and co-branded elements throughout, the piece “bridges outdoor functionality with authentic western workwear DNA”.

Another key piece is the Levi’s x Barbour ‘Type II Waxed Trucker Jacket’ which comes in Barbour’s most traditional olive colourway with brown cord collar, while the ‘Type II Denim Trucker’ version offers mid-wash indigo denim with a distinctively Barbour green cord collar and tonal embroidery at the cuff placket.
Mathilde Vaucheret, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Experience for Levi’s Europe, said: “We know our European fans value quality and craftsmanship, so we’re excited to bring this collaboration to them. Levi’s x Barbour unites two iconic brands and represents the evolution of heritage - creating something familiar yet distinctly new.
“With a shared respect for authenticity and timeless design by joining forces with Barbour, we’re continuing to elevate the Levi’s brand through a denim lifestyle lens that keeps us firmly at the centre of culture.”
The collection also includes Levi’s x Barbour ‘578 Pleated Corduroys’, which feature deep pleats with classic tartan binding at the out-seam and ‘Barbour’ embroidery added to the coin pocket. The interior artwork, drawn directly from the Levi’s and Barbour archives, features Barbour fisherman and Levi’s miner graphics printed on the pocket bags.
Jeans come in the form of the co-branded ‘568 Loose’, in a dark worn-in finish with the same interior artwork and tartan binding details as the cords.
Rounding out the collection is a heavyweight green hoodie, a graphic T-shirt and a waxed cap in olive wax with classic tartan lining, antique brass closure and a Levi’s red tab at the brim.
The accompanying campaign “celebrates true mastery” and “the quiet dedication behind every stitch, rivet and seam”. Shot by photographer and director Tbone Fletcher, it features makers such as Shivas Howard Brown, founder of Friendly Pressure who crafts bespoke speakers and sound systems, ceramics designer Lev Rosenbush, furniture maker Andu Masebo and jewellery maker Ellie Mercer.
With an emphasis on longevity and repair, there’s also a Levi’s x Barbour Re-Loved programme, giving new life to old garments and reimagining vintage Levi’s denim with Barbour’s waxed fabrics.
