Leading high street figure Barbara Horspool appointed chief creative officer at Fairfax & Favor
Barbara Horspool, former chief product officer at The White Company and co-founder of loungewear brand Mamu, has been appointed chief creative officer at luxury countrywear brand Fairfax & Favor.
Horspool is one of the most high profile women in British fashion retail, having held senior creative roles at Jigsaw, New Look and Marks & Spencer, before spending more than 10 years with The White Company between 2014 and 2024.
Last year she established Mamu, an elevated lounge and nightwear brand, with her daughter Talula. The Mamu brand continues with Talulu taking a more hands on role at the business and Barbara Horspool overseeing all product, from design to sourcing and buying.

Horpsool announced her new role at Norfolk-based Fairfax & Favor on Linked-in. The brand, which counts Princess Anne's daughter and leading equestrian Zara Tindall as ambassador, was established in 2013 by Marcus Fairfax Fountaine and Felix Favor Parker. It specialises in quality clothing, footwear and accessories for "modern rural living", though the items are designed to be as at home in the city as they are in the country.
Fairfax & Favor is available to buy from its website, as well as its nine stores in Norfolk, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Dorset, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Gloucestershire and Buckinghamshire. It also has wide network of wholesale stockists throughout the UK.
