Laura Ashley sales jump as it strengthens global revival with NEXT fuelling growth

British lifestyle brand Laura Ashley, which was acquired from Gordon Brothers by Ben Sherman-owner Marquee Brands in January 2025, has reported sales growth of 15% year-on-year for 2025.

The retailer described this as a “decisive turning point”, with strong commercial performance across home and womenswear.

Momentum has carried through into the first quarter of 2026, particularly through Laura Ashley’s partnership with NEXT, with womenswear and girlswear combined seeing an increase of 81% year-on-year.

Laura Ashley also pointed to “strong customer engagement” at its store at Lakeside Retail Park in Thurrock, Essex, which opened in September 2025 and is described as “validating Laura Ashley’s return to the high street as a destination for accessible lifestyle living”.

The success of the Lakeside store has now “paved the way for further store presence over the coming year”, supporting a seamless omnichannel experience that connects in-store discovery with online convenience.

Last year also saw Laura Ashley launch swimwear in the UK - a category that has now been expanded for SS26 - as well as greetings cards and flowers through Moonpig.

Category growth remains a core strategic priority for 2026, with new brand collaborations, expansion of current key categories for the home and new product ranges in the pipeline.

Global growth has also further strengthened Laura Ashley’s revival, with significant progress across Asia and North America. Key markets include South Korea, where further store openings are planned, as well as Japan and the US.
