PVH Corp. has signed a licensing agreement with Italian tailoring specialist Lardini for the design, production and distribution of Tommy Hilfiger Tailored pieces across the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.

The collaboration will begin in the Spring/Summer 2021 season, with the deal aiming to increase the global reach and sales of the Tommy Hilfiger brand and its products.

Specialising in men's formalwear and sportswear, Lardini was founded in 1978, producing pieces for its own menswear brand as well as menswear collections for other houses.

Some of the company's most notable clients have included Etro, Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry.

Martijn Hagman, CEO of Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH Europe, said in a statement: “Globally celebrated for their excellence in tailoring and craftsmanship, we are confident that Lardini will continue to build on the innovative and sophisticated spirit at the heart of our tailored collection.

“We believe that leveraging Lardini’s market expertise will enable us to further expand our tailored product categories in Europe and Asia.”

In 2013, Tommy Hilfiger introduced a refreshed and dedicated tailored department, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored, with modern fits and cuts, and products manufactured in Europe from mainly Italian fabrics.

With this latest deal with Lardini, Tommy Hilfiger's formal offering is now handled entirely by other companies in Europe and Asia.
