Italian-based luxury fashion resale platform Lampoo has opened its store on London’s King’s Road, offering authenticated second-hand items from fashion houses including Chanel, Gucci, Balenciaga and Dior.

Covering 1,399 sq ft across two floors, the store is themed around a stark contrast of cool and modern, mixed with a classic and timeless aesthetic. The store is a fluid space with a mix of colours, fabrics and textures, designed to give the mix & match feeling of a second-hand clothing shop, but unified into one elevated collection with a luxury aesthetic.

Enrico Trombini, Founder & CEO of Lampoo, commented: "The UK is the largest luxury fashion market in Europe so it was natural for us to start our international expansion here. London will be the perfect setting for Lampoo, considering the variety of services we offer both online and offline. Our strong presence in London, alongside our offices that welcome our tech, marketing and customer care teams also helps bring us 'closer' to the largest and most active VC market in Europe."

The first ever luxury resale store to arrive on the King’s Road, Lampoo is providing a more conscious way to shop. Consumers can get in-person advice from experts working in-store, with a level of service described as being "on par with the world's top luxury boutiques".

Both buying and selling pre-loved luxury is possible at the store, which hosts a wide selection of unique second-hand pieces ready to buy as well as a drop-off point for unwanted designer pieces. Customers can book selling appointments to help valuate precious items such as bags and fine jewellery.

On Lampoo sellers simply pay a £20 concierge fee, and earn 70% - 100% of the selling price on their items. Lampoo has also increased its list of most wanted bags brands from 10 to 28 designers, where payment is given straight away, without waiting for the item to be sold.

Alan Tyldesley, Head of Brand & PR at Lampoo, added: "The London store will be our flagship, and a one-stop-shop for contributing towards a more sustainable circular economy. The King’s Road has always been at the forefront of cultural change – as a riverside haven for London’s bohemian community, to the boutique revolution which saw Mary Quant and Vivienne Westwood’s experiential retail thrive.”
