Lacoste announces milestone in production of 100,000 of masks
French lifestyle brand Lacoste has today announced it has reached the milestone of producing 100,000 face masks in just a few weeks, to help in the fight against the spread of coronavirus, with a pledge to reach 200,000 masks.
In a statement, the brand said: ‘We want to thank all our volunteers who work every day to protect lives. As the fight is not over, the discreet heroes in France will intensify the production to reach 200,000 masks.
The company said in a statement: "Our factory in Argentina and our Turkish partner, EREN Holding, have also adapted to the manufacture of medical masks and gowns. Every gesture counts to defeat this pandemic, and Lacoste will continue its efforts to produce masks beyond April and for as long as the health situation calls for it.
"Two production lines will be dedicated to this in our historic factory in Troyes in France, to produce the protective equipment essential for a return to normal life."
