British premium footwear and accessories brand Kurt Geiger has today announced record holiday trading as it tackles US expansion.

The brand, which was founded in London in 1963, brought its London verve across the pond, where it was welcomed with open arms.

Ahead of next week's release of its new SS25 campaign starring Emily Ratajkowski, Kurt Geiger reveals "strong" financial results after opening its first four stores in the US and three new brick-and-mortar stores in Mexico.

North America is now Kurt Geiger’s fastest-growing and largest market. From 2018 until now, gross sales have grown 100-fold, from £2.5 million to £250 million.

Following last August’s announcement that profit was up by 25% to £40 million for the full year 2023, the brand shows no signs of slowing down, exceeding expectations in H1.

In the US, from February to September, sales surged by 58.7% to exceed £110 million. Its e-commerce business grew by an impressive 94.4%, while its wholesale businesses grew by 50.9%.

On a global front, in December, Kurt Geiger delivered 17% growth in DTC - marking the most profitable month in the brand’s 62-year history. In terms of products, the brand’s bags continue to be its biggest selling point with sales growing by 54%.

Neil Clifford, CEO of Kurt Geiger said: "We’re going big in North America.

Seeing our growth in the region, we believe our creative and social spirit and our statement-making styles aren’t just for Londonphiles. We love the idea of Kurt Geiger being a worldwide conduit of London’s pop culture scene."

Kurt Geiger’s five new brick-and-mortar locations in the US and Mexico are just the beginning of the brand’s overseas retail expansion. There are already five new locations in development across North America, set to open in early 2025. New store locations include Miami, Houston and New York, with 50 planned for the region in total.

Each venue embodies the brand’s irreverent London spirit and carries the full range of shoes, bags and additional accessories ranging from jewellery to sunglasses and more.

Rebecca Farrar-Hockley, Chief Creative Officer at Kurt Geiger, said: "Our designs aim to bring a sense of joy, individuality, and accessibility to our customers, which has truly resonated here in the Americas.

"From our statement heels to the iconic Kensington bag, each product is crafted to empower with confidence and creativity. This region’s embrace of our bold, London-inspired style speaks to the universal appeal of vibrant, expressive fashion, and we’re thrilled to see Kurt Geiger become a part of everyday wardrobes across North America and beyond."
