Kontoor appoints Global Head of ESG to drive sustainability agenda

Global apparel company Kontoor, which owns the Lee and Wrangler brands, has appointed Mame Annan-Brown as its Global Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

In the role Annan-Brown will spearhead strategy, integration, reporting and engagement across the Company’s global ESG efforts and will also lead Kontoor's ESG Council, which includes the businesses global leadership.

The company said the council will work to establish a foundational ESG framework and roadmap for Kontoor's ESG vision, as well as prioritising and recommending policies, practices, and disclosures that conform with the strategy.

She will also continue to oversee global communications and public affairs, with responsibility over all aspects of global corporate communications, government relations, global philanthropy, and charitable giving.

Annan-Brown looks back on two decades of experience working with ESG and sustainable investing at the likes of World Bank Group and JPMorgan Chase.
