On Saturday, Kim Kardashian West launched a range of non-medical face masks, SKIMS, designed for all-day multi-use wear with the collection initially selling out in less than four hours.

The US-based womenswear brand, launched and owned by Kardashian, usually produces fitted nude undergarments and shapewear for women.

The company published a statement reading: "Unfortunately SKIMS Face Masks have sold out today, but we are working with our local partner in Los Angeles to produce more as quickly as possible."

The UK has seen 243,700 people flag as positive for coronavirus since testing began, as of 17 May 2020.

According to Johns Hopkins University, nearly 1.5 million coronavirus cases have also been recorded in the US.

The company finished a statement by confirming it will produce more, due to high demand. "The next batch will be available next week, please join the waitlist to receive more details coming soon, and we thank you for your support."

The company currently ships its products worldwide, with a large audience in the UK, US and Europe.

To support the COVID-19 relief work efforts and help protect those on the frontline, SKIMS is also donating 10,000 Seamless Face Masks to charitable partners to whom $1 million has also been donated.
