Kenzo will present a co-ed catwalk show presenting both men's and women's main collections at the next edition of Paris Men's Fashion Week in January.

The combined event will take place at the close of Men's Fashion Week and the start of Couture at 7.30pm on 22 January. Kenzo's main collections will continue to be shown on a January and June timetable.

However the Paris-based LVMH-owned brand, which is headed up by creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim who also founded cult retailer Opening Ceremony, will retain a presence at the main women's Fashion Weeks in Paris, which take place in March and September.

The brand is promising some "surprising and unexpected" special projects, collections, and events entitled Kenzo “Memento” during the women's Fashion Weeks.

Leon and Lim, who have been with Kenzo for five years, have had a blockbuster year with brand having recently released a sell-out collaboration with retailer H&M. The brand also announced its first fragrance Kenzo World, an occasion which was marked by the production of a madcap film starring actress and dancer Margaret Qualley and directed by Spike Jonze.

British designer Paul Smith also revealed that he plans to stage a combined catwalk show at the end of Paris Men's Fashion Week and the start of Couture. Smith's show will also take place on 22 January.
