Kate Spade's new wearables collection to launch this autumn
US premium accessories and lifestyle brand Kate Spade is to launch a new wearable tech collection in November which includes a smartwatch, bangle tracker and silicone tracker.
The collection will initially go on sale on Kate Spade's website and stores before being rolled out to the brand's wholesale base and specialty stores. Prices will range from $125-$250.
Functionality on the new smartwatch and trackers includes activity and sleep tracking (when used alongside its app), music and volume control, a selfie camera, time-zone updates and notification technology. The battery-operated trackers do not require a charger and are both iPhone and Android-compatible.
Kate Spade is part of the Fossil Group having signed a licensing agreement in 2015 that allows Fossil to design, develop and distribute its collections until 2025.
The move is Kate Spade's second foray into the wearables space. Last year it teamed up with Everpurse on a range of handbags that can charge iPhones.
