Kate Spade's "connected wearables" go on sale in UK

The first item from Kate Spade's new collection of "connected wearables" is now available for sale in the UK. The wearables range includes three items in various styles, the first of which, the "scallop tracker", is now available online and in-store priced at £119; a bangle tracker and smartwatch will be available in November.

Like all the items in the wearables range, the scallop tracker is compatible with iPhone and Android. It is available in solid, glitter, stripe, dot and "cat-ear" styles and functions include activity and sleep tracking, countdown to your next celebration, camera, music and make calls to your phone with a tap to the display.

The bangle tracker will come in yellow, white and rose gold versions and features similar functionality to the scallop tracker, while the metro grand hybrid smartwatch also features automatic timezone updates and the ability to allow for designated notifications from your phone.

When available in November the metro grand watch will come in black and rose gold, grey and silver tone, vachetta and gold tone, and as a gift set with two tone bracelet and a black-quilted leather strap.

The collection is Kate Spade's second foray into the wearable tech space. Last year it teamed up with Everpurse on a range of handbags that can charge iPhones.
