Premium US fashion and lifestyle brand Kate Spade has opened a pop-up shop at Terminal 5 of London's Heathrow Airport, its first travel retail shopping destination in the UK.

The eight-month pop-up will sell handbags, small leather goods, fashion acessories, jewelry, tech and stationery and has been designed with the brand's signature green display walls, wood panelled floors, mirrored brass accents and sputnik light fixtures.

"We are really pleased to welcome kate spade new york to Heathrow, and we are delighted they have chosen Terminal 5 as their first travel retail home. Their arrival brings our passengers even closer to the best in international shopping and houses some great products for them to choose from," said Heathrow’s retail and service proposition director Chris Annetts.

Kate Spade, which is currently the subject of a buyout by US premium accessories group Coach, has UK stores on Regent Street, Covent Garden, Sloane Street and Westfield London. The move to open at Heathrow comes on the heels of the opening of the brand’s first European travel retail location in Oslo, Norway.
