Kate Moss parts company with Storm model agency after 28 years

Kate Moss has parted company with the model agency that launched her career 28 years ago; she will now handle her own modelling commitments herself.

Moss, who was discovered at JFK airport by Storm founder Sarah Doukas when she was just 14, will continue to work with the agency on an ad hoc basis and they will "continue to maintain an active involvement in our on-going deals for her", a statement said.

Storm is one of the world's leading model agencies and manages the careers of leading models such as Jourdan Dunn, Cindy Crawford, Jade Parfitt and Karoline Kurkova. It also represents Moss' half sister Lottie Moss, who is 18.

Moss' breakthrough shoot was by the late Corinne Day for style bible The Face. She has gone on to be one of the world's most recognisable faces and style icons and has fronted campaigns for Calvin Klein, Burberry, Rimmel and countless others, as well as collaborating on a highly successful clothing line for Topshop.

The split is understood to be an amicable one.
