British footwear designer Kat Maconie will be bringing her 80s-inspired footwear designs to the heart of London at a pop-up on Carnaby Street.

The pop-up is set to open at 29 Carnaby Street on 10 March 2023 and will run until 1 July 2023.

Founded in London, Kat Maconie is a trailblazer of the new generation of footwear designers. Her designs are identifiable through her ‘more is more’ aesthetic, building a range of colourful shoes and sculptural heels.

The Carnaby pop-up store will offer its latest 86-piece collection; Spring Summer '23 California Dreamin', inspired by a tropical paradise. Vibrant fuchsia ruffles emulate the flirtatiousness of a Malibu sunset, whilst gem-encrusted palm tree embroideries evoke the glamour of Beverly Hills.

Founder and CEO, Kat Maconie, said: "It’s such an exciting milestone for myself and the brand to be opening on Carnaby Street, we’re so excited to be in such an iconic central London location.

"I cannot wait to open our doors to more wonderful customers and to see their real-time reactions to our collections, it’s incredibly rewarding seeing their faces light up as they try on the shoes. It was my 2023 goal to open a pop-up in central London, specifically Soho, and my team has made it possible to do exactly that!"

Emma Steele, Head of Retail Activations at Shaftesbury, added: "We are excited to welcome British footwear designer Kat Maconie to Carnaby. With Kat being an innovator in footwear design, her unique shoes will be a great hit with locals and visitors to the area."
