British womenswear brand Karen Millen, which has set its sights on global expansion, has announced its new and exclusive wholesale and retail partnership with Indian premium fashion destination Coyu by Lyskraft.

Karen Millen OBE, best known for her classic womenswear sported by the likes of Hollywood star Emily Blunt and The Princess of Wales, founded her namesake label in 1981 at the age of 19, starting with just a modest loan of £100. Over 40 years on, the brand is heading overseas, targeting an international consumer.

The partnership is due to go live by the end of this month, with an aggressive store rollout. Karen Millen will be available to shop in 50 Coyu stores due to open over the coming years across India.

the brand has seen success with other partners such as Voga Closet and 6th Street in the Middle East and is looking forward to opening a new market with this exciting partnership whilst exploring further opportunities in other territories.

Mark Barraclough, COO at Karen Millen, said: "After the huge success we’ve seen in the Middle East with our wholesale partner Voga Closet, we are looking forward to working with Lyskraft. This serves as a great opportunity for the brand to have a physical presence and test a new market. This is another milestone for Karen Millen as part of our global expansion, and we’re excited to see the results."

Mohit Gupta, CEO at Lyskraft, added: "We are thrilled to partner with Karen Millen, an iconic premium women’s fashion brand synonymous with timeless style and elegance.
