Kanye West and Demna drop Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga debut collection
Kanye West and Balenciaga's Creative Director, Demna have dropped the first limited release of their highly anticipated partnership, Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga.
The 25-look collection blends the American rapper and fashion designer's oversized silhouette and recent fad for face coverings with Demna’s gender fluid and couture designs. The first eight looks will be available for order on Yeezygap.com and Farfetch today with the full collection dropping later this year.
The creative exploration between the duo see the first eight styles reflecting the timeless silhouttes translated through their shared vision of utilitarian design and in continued alignment of music, art and culture.
Highlights of the collection includes a denim jacket and pant, technical boiler suits, leather biker pants and a range of logo tees and hoodie, which pay tribute to Gap's timeless American icons rended anew in wash, hue and silhouette. An abstract dove motif seen throughout represents an unnamed hope for the future.
