British fashion and lifestyle brand Joules has won planning permission for its new landmark HQ in its home town of Market Harborough.

The new 60,000 sq ft facility will house all of the brand's UK-based head office teams under one roof for the first time. Its design was conceived to amplify the brand’s heritage and distinctive features by putting product design and creative functions at its centre.

Joules was founded by Tom Joule 30 years ago and has grow into a fully fledged multi-channel lifestyle brand with 123 retail stores in the UK and Ireland, a number of wholesale stockists (including John Lewis and Next), and a growing online and international presence. The business floated in May 2016.

Joule, who is chief brand officer, said he was "delighted" to have secured the planning permission. "This is great news for our brand, our team and the local community," he said.

“Market Harborough is in Joules’ DNA and represents a very important ingredient in our brand’s heritage and unique personality. We have ambitious plans to further grow the Joules brand, both in the UK and internationally. We are confident that our new head office will help preserve and strengthen our special culture and allow us to continue to attract and retain world-class talent.”
