Joules has appointed Caroline York as its new chief financial officer (CFO) replacing Marc Dench, who will step down from his position on the Board on 11 May 2021.

York, who will take up her new role no later than September 2021, joins Joules from price-comparison business Moneysupermarket Group Plc, where she is currently finance director.

She has also held finance leadership positions at Heathrow & BAA and before that, at Atos KPMG and PwC.

Dench, who is taking on a new role with private equity backed HealthHero, will continue to remain available to Joules in a consultancy capacity following his departure, to help ensure a “smooth transition of responsibilities.”

The Group’s finance controller Jon Dargie will step in as Interim CFO in the period between Dench standing down from the Board and York joining.

Commenting on the appointment, Joules chief executive officer Nick Jones said: “We are delighted that Caroline is going to be our next CFO and I am looking forward to working closely with her to deliver the next chapter of Joules’ long-term growth and development.

“I have no doubt that Caroline’s extensive understanding of digital and brand-led businesses will be of great value to Joules moving forward.”

Incoming Joules CFO Caroline York added: “Joules is a brand I have long admired and I am delighted to be joining as the Group’s new CFO.

“The business has a very exciting future with significant opportunities to expand the brand and continue to develop its first-class digital proposition.”
