John Lewis partners with Kidswear Collective for pre-loved designer clothing concession
John Lewis is partnering with pre-loved and past season platform Kidswear Collective on a concession at the retailer’s flagship store at 300 Oxford Street, London.
Located on the fourth floor within the kids’ department, the new concession will offer a curated selection of fashion for 0-12 years, with prices starting at £20.
Customers will be able to shop an exclusive Kidswear Collective edit from leading brands such as Gucci, Burberry and Stella McCartney, with up to 60% off the original retail price.
All Kidswear Collective products are sourced from reliable partners, and each item undergoes an eight-step inspection which guarantees them to be 100% authentic.
Pre-loved items are carefully selected to be in prime condition and are dry-cleaned "ready to be re-born". Past season items are typically end of season stock and are unworn with original tags.
Kidswear Collective founder, Shoshana Kazab, said: "We are passionate about changing the perception of pre-loved fashion, and working with retailers like John Lewis is the perfect way to enable customers to engage with the garments first hand and see the quality for themselves.
"We love the fact that customers at John Lewis can shop a ‘mixed’ wardrobe in-store which can include both in-season and pre-loved pieces."
Danielle Gagola, Services & Innovation Lead at John Lewis, added: "Having seen tremendous success with our rental, circular and pre-loved collections and partnerships, we’re thrilled to continue to offer more sustainable shopping options for our customers.
"Our new partnership with Kidswear Collective reflects our commitment to develop responsible and accessible pre-loved fashion for our customers, and we look forward to seeing the collection in store."
Kidswear Collective first launched exclusively online, before exploring department store partnerships "to help remove the stigma of buying pre-loved kidswear".
John Lewis also currently offers a selection of pre-owned jewellery, bags and vintage accessories online for customers, while they can also shop Sign of the Times products all year round in John Lewis Oxford Street and Peter Jones on Sloane Square.
Additionally, John Lewis Fashion Rental is another way customers can shop more sustainably, described as "ideal for summer events and weddings without the hassle of purchasing new outfits each time".
