John Lewis introduces further offers to help customers amid cost-of-living crisis

Responding to the cost of living crisis, John Lewis has introduced a selection of offers to help customers this Christmas.

The autumn deals include discounts for Christmas gifting and 20% off lingerie, handbags, womenswear, menswear, lighting, bedding and towels.

For example, in the beauty department, John Lewis is also offering customers the chance to purchase the 'Estée Lauder The Ultimate Gift Set' for £75, when they spend £50 on Estée Lauder. The gift set usually retails for £368.98.

Jon Williams, Director of Commercial Operations at John Lewis, said: “Our customers have traditionally focused on getting great deals around Black Friday. But this year we know that they are looking to spread out the cost so these autumn offers on thousands of products will help them prepare for Christmas a little earlier."

John Lewis has also extended its seasonal returns window, allowing customers to exchange or return goods purchased until 28 January, marking the earliest time in the year John Lewis has done this.

Last month, John Lewis introduced its first initiative to help customers manage Christmas costs during the cost of living crisis.

As part of this, the retailer removed the £30 minimum spend threshold on its website for click-and-collect orders until yesterday, 19 October, which allowed consumers to make smaller order without paying the additional £2 charge for the service.
